Roles for Students at Other Colleges and Universities

If you’re an undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university beyond Michigan State, we are always open to new volunteers! Our meetings are held virtually, making it possible for students across places and time zones to contribute. We can occasionally pay non-MSU students too, if you’ve been volunteering with our project for a while and you have special skills that we need.

MI Diaries is especially interested in recruiting undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups, including students of color, low-income students, first-generation students, and LGBT+ students. We are also interested in working with students from community colleges, liberal arts colleges, and HBCUs.

Coming soon! MI Diaries will offer two-month summer stipends to non-MSU students in 2022, 2023 and 2024, as part of the National Science Foundation’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) initiative. Information about applying to our summer REU program will be available at the start of 2022. Watch this space and our open positions for more information
