“Maybe having grown up by Lake Superior makes a difference but it’s just something about having that.”

Do I think of myself more as a river or a lake? I think, a lake. And the reason why is I find lake sounds, ocean sounds, waves lapping to be very soothing to me. There’s something about them, even when the lake — Lake Superior when she’s angry and she’s just pounding the shore, it’s just — first of all, that’s magnificent and it’s just something about it that is soothing. River water, running, is fine. It just sounds too busy to me, I guess, I don’t know. It’s just I like being around water, no question. I like the river. If I had a preference, I would take the lake, there’s just something about the lake. Maybe having grown up by Lake Superior makes a difference but it’s just something about having that magnificent lake and in the — during the gloaming, she’s — she’s often just gently lapping the water, almost speaking to you, and then again, when she’s angry, she pounds the shore like nobody’s business and she lets you know. You have to grow up to respect Lake Superior. No question about it.
