“He somehow jabbed a knitting needle through a mirror.”

They also had a magic show there too, so me and my mom both watched that. They had some really cool tricks, though, like a disappearing stool. And he somehow jabbed a knitting needle through a mirror, which was really interesting. So he first put the mirror in a knit bag, then he put the -- then he took a knitting needle and stabbed it right through, and it came out the other end. I still do not understand how that worked. And the magician's name was Taylor Hughes and he is a really famous person, I think. He got his own website and everything. So I really appreciate him.

“So, that’s why I would like to have three arms instead of three legs or three heads.”

Would you rather have three arms, three legs, or three heads? I would probably go with three arms because three arms would be pretty cool to have. A lot of the time -- sometimes I feel like I want to have four arms because then I could do lots of multitasking. Or I could grab more things and hold more things. And three legs would be kind of weird since you, you'd be -- you'd have uneven legs which would be kind of weird, but I guess having uneven arms is also kind of weird, but three heads would not be very good because, you -- like, what if, like, you wouldn't be able to control them? So, you'd have like three personalities, but even if you could control them, you'd have three heads to control and that'd be a lot.Um, and also, um, it would just be kind of weird. But maybe if I had this third arm, it could be somewhere more in the middle, like on my stomach or something. But I guess it'd be kind of weird. But I'd like it to be more in the middle. So, like, I don't just have like uneven arm sets. Or I rather have the arm on my right side because I'm right-handed. [Yawn] Sorry, um, and like I'm not left-handed like at all. I can like barely do anything with my left hand. I just use it for more grip or something. Like I cannot write with my left hand, like hold things with my left hand. I just can't really do things with my left hand. But I bet if I practiced, I would be better because I have a friend who can do really good drawing with their left hand. Um, and yeah, so that's why I would like to have three arms instead of three legs or three heads.

“One of my friends grabbed the cake off my plate and just smeared it all over my hand.”

So, a couple weeks ago, it was my birthday. Maybe like last week or the week before. And we went to the mall to get my present and I loved it. It was like Nike Blazers, which I've been wanting. And then I had two of my friends over and they both live in my neighborhood. We had a sleepover and a moonlight swim. So, we -- I don't know what time we got out of the pool, but then -- I don't -- over around like eight-ish, that it would be dark outside. It was so fun. And then we went to watch a movie in the theater room of our house. And the movie finished at like 12:30. And then we talked till like one to two-ish like, just like, talking but not like, up. Like, laying down, but like -- just like, talking until -- for like, at least an hour. It was crazy. But whenever we came inside from the pool, we did have some of the cake, which was cheesecake, and it was very delicious. But whenever I was changing, my two friends cut the cake and gave me my slice once I came out, and then one of my friends grabbed the cake off my plate and just smeared it all over my hand 'cause they were gonna do it in my face, but they decided not to and I'm very glad. So, it was a -- usually I would be mad. Like, if this was my sisters, honestly, I'd probably be mad. But it was really funny, like, crazy.

“We looked on the nearby shelves, but they weren’t there.”

And I left my watch on a table, and then it just disappeared. So, we were trying to devote some time to look for it, and we just couldn't find it. Like -- we -- it like disappeared. Like, my mom said -- well, or my dad, I'm pretty sure. I don't really know which one said that whenever we leave things on the table, they just put them on nearby shelves. So we looked on the nearby shelves, but they weren't there. And on the shelf, my brother has his own little section, I guess. So -- and I, I didn't see it at first glance, so I'm assuming it's not there. But I might still check. And I checked in my room, and it wasn't there. So it had just completely disappeared. Like I don't know where it is. It's just gone, I guess. I don't know if we'll ever find it again. But it's okay since the watch I got was my very first watch. And it was a pretty cheap one, too, I guess, though I still hope we can find it.

“I had tried to do a flying camel spin, which I have never done before…”

For figure skating, I am in the level pre-perlim–, perlim– [pre-preliminary] -- I don't know how to say it, okay. But I'm working on my axle, which is one and a half rotations. And you like, jump and then -- you jump off one foot, kick your other foot into the air, and then as soon as you jump off of the foot, then you like pick that leg up too so then you can land on one foot. And it's just complicated. And yesterday I had skating, and I had tried to do a flying camel spin, which I have never done before. So I thought it'd be a good idea to try. And I just fell right on my back, and now my like, tailbone really hurts because, yeah, it was painful. And it was really loud and like everybody was like, "Are you okay?" And I was fine, though. And I fell like really hard, but that's okay.

“As my dad said that, like literally a second later, the gasoline, like, tub that he was holding like, blew up!”

Anyway, my brothers were having a bonfire, and they are in high school. And, um, my dad was just like, telling them that you have to be careful around fire. And like, they had gasoline so they could, like, actually keep it going. And so like, you have to be careful with the gasoline around the fire and everything. And then as my dad said that, like literally a second later, the gasoline, like, tub that he was holding like, blew up! Not blew up, but like started like a lot -- yeah, like started on fire, like, really big. And then my dad had to run! Full-on sprint to our pool and put that -- this is at our old house. So then, like, put that in our pool and then just, like, my dad was freaking out and it was so funny. Um, yeah. And almost burnt his hand, but it's okay.

“She accidentally put on, like, a really spicy spice on it.”

What mistake did your parents make that you will tell the class about? I've not shared it yet. Um, so, my mom, she wrote when she was like making deviled eggs -- it was for an Easter party. We were going to my grandpa's house and she was making deviled eggs for the party because it was a food party, lots of good food. Um, otherwise it was, it was Thanksgiving. I'm not qu- -- I think it was -- no, it was definitely Easter. But, um, she wrote about when she was making deviled eggs, she was like making it, you know, put the seasoning on top. And then, um, she like tested one to make sure it was okay and like, you know. And she accidentally put on like a really spicy spice on it like, like flamin' hot, like, jalapeño instead of the other one that would just add a little flavor. So she had to like, scrape the whole top layer off and like, had to like, make it look like it was fine and then add the right seasoning. But there were still a few flakes left, so afterwards she was like, she was like trying not to b- -- d- -- ugh, trying not to make a big deal out of it, but yet, like, warning everyone, like, "If you -- if it's a little spicier than what you're used to, like, it's because I did this."

“If you had the bunny, you had to share a secret”

So we played this like Truth Bunny while getting ready for bed. So basically, last year at sixth grade camp, we -- my friend has this bunny and we started playing this game called the Truth Bunny. So we would all get in our bunks and pass the bunny around, and if you had the bunny, you had to share a secret or like a truth, so. And so it was really fun like we would share -- in the girls cabin, we would like share our crushes or like who we think is weird or like stuff like that. Even like really stupid stuff, like "I don't like grapes." Some people like shared stuff like that, which it was really annoying because that's not a big secret, but it is what it is, I guess. So basically, we did that again. And so we had like maybe like six people go and like share stuff about like our crushes, or like -- yeah, that's basically all we talked about. Just love life.

“We could see the stage perfectly”

I went to a Lauren Daigle concert and that was really, really, really, really, really, really fun. I went with my mom, my sister, my aunt, and my grandma. And my grandma -- my aunt got my grandma tickets for Lauren Daigle for, like, Mother's Day, but she said that she wanted me and my mom, my sister to come so we did. So then after my grandma picked me up from camp, I went to my aunt's house for pizza. And then -- it was really good pizza. It was like from a local place. And then, uh, then we got all ready, and I loved the dress that I wore, and my aunt wore a dress and so did my mom, and then my grandma wore, like, jeans and a top, and my sister did the same. Then after that, we drove to Lauren Daigle -- and Lauren Daigle released a new album, so she sang all that. And then she like, um, sang all her old songs. So like she sung “Hold on to Me” and “Look Up Child”, like all that, and then for the last act – it was “You Say”. And our seats were so good. Um, we weren't like in the front front but we weren't like in the back. So we were like right in the middle and right in the middle of middle because we could see the stage perfectly. And then for the You Say act, she went off the stage and she went right next to us, so we could like just walk down and like touch her hands or something. Um, anyways, so it was really, really, really, really, really good. And then once we got back we were super duper tired. And then, um, we slept in and then my brothers and sisters went to school. And since I skipped the second day of camp, I got to just sleep in.

“But the remote died and she started running after the car.”

"One time, Zoe, our dog, decided on Super Bowl night -- we were gonna let her out, and I let her out. And all of a sudden the car next door -- our neighbors, um, they're -- they had friends over, and one of the friends had like their toddler sleeping, so they were gonna go home. And the car started going. And she -- and Zoe doesn't have an electric fence or anything in the past. So um, it's very like, "Whatever, you can go outside without a leash." Like she knew that she couldn't go out of the yard, because we had like a collar, but we had like a remote to it. But the remote died and she started running after the car. And she ran -- the car -- she like almost got run over. She was like behind the car, chasing after it. And of course this was at like 10:45 at night when the halftime show was on. And, all of a sudden, like, she took off. And I was in my pajamas of course because I was dead tired. So I had to get on my bike barefoot and then I -- barefoot and I had to run after her, and she went like halfway through our neighborhood, almost onto the main road. And so I chased her on my bike. And she would not go back with me when I was on my bike. So I had to leave my bike in the middle of the road and walk her back."
