“The sky turned green, and our cats were at home, and it was just terrifying…”

A time I had to shelter from a storm… You know, I, I remember one specifically very terrifying instance. Um, we didn’t have the dogs at the time. We just had our older two cats. And we were going to a friend’s house, not realizing that, um, the rain was going to turn to storms which would spawn tornadoes.
Um, this was the time that there were several tornadoes that touched down in Dexter, believe it was. We were living in Ypsilanti at the time. And the sky turned green, and our cats were at home, and it was just terrifying knowing that, you know, sitting in our friend’s basement, you know, looking at the green skies and rolling clouds through the egress window and knowing my babies were at home. It was terrifying.
So yeah. You know, that’s the, the biggest. I guess that’s the closest I remember ever getting to there being a tornado in the sense of yeah, it looked like it was going to happen.
