I loved my, my fifth grade teacher. She was by far my favorite.
She was really — she made everything fun and even subjects that I wasn’t really interested in before entering into fifth grade, she somehow made them okay, and I really — I really enjoyed being in her class and, and she just was — she had a very good way with students — very unique teacher.
We had an iguana in our classroom, which not a lot of teachers have iguana in their classroom, I don’t think. Probably nowadays, you maybe can’t even have an iguana in your classroom, I don’t know. And I wish now that I knew, where did she get this iguana? How did she have it? Like where did it come from it? I might have known then or I might not have even thought to ask then where Iggy came from, but he was, he was kind of neat.
We had some other animals too, but he was the one that was sort of the most unique. He was big as well. He was, he was quite — quite a large iguana and he had a big cage that took up a good chunk of — good chunk of the room. Like it was, it was — again, I think back on it and, and it was interesting. And where was he during the summer? Did she have him at her house? Probably, I don’t know.
So I’ve seen her a couple of times in, in adulthood, but it’s been a long time, it’s been a very long time since I’ve seen her but I would, I would like to sit and maybe chat with her for a little while and reminisce about fifth grade and, yeah, she really was, she really was a great teacher.
